They have indoor and outdoor seating, both which fill up quickly. Luckily, the service is quick. They have a variety of drinks and food items. Order at the counter and then grab a seat. We ordered the lobster roll and fried clams. Both were great. We will be back to try the rest.

Second visit to this venue. A hit each time. Crab cake, haddock, crobster roll --all delish. I do wish they had more sides to choose from. Indoor and outdoor seating. Rustic setting. Been at this location for deceleration decades. One of the first venues in the Seaport District. Quick service. Prices are consistent with other causal, but over priced seafood restaurants in the Seaport District. Try them. You won't be disappointed.

A little bit to much rules to respect which can be rebutting at first. But great experience regarding food , specially fresh lobster.

One of the better spots to get your lobster roll, definitely will be back to try more of their offerings. Due to a work event, walked around and found this place, it was recommended by some of the locals I know in the area, here is a breakdown of everything I sampled and how everything faired Lobster roll - opted for the steamed version, gotta say coming from the bay I had big shoes to fill. This place did not disappoint, definitely portion wise for this roll, was stacked upon stocked of lobster, they do have two other options, buttered and fried, I will have to come back to sample these, the steamed that I tried was very well made, lobster not rubbery, just fresh taste on that semi warm roll The fish and chips - their version of fish and chips is more of the traditional, fries and fish battered then deep fried. The fish was so fresh that when you try to pick it up it falls apart, definitely a must try if you like fish and chips clam chowder - I was told Boston does have a specialty and this is one of their specialties, glad I was able to sample a small bowl, the chowder was heavy and flavored well no need for the crackers eat it as is, the chunks of clam, and everything else in the chowder was definitely an eye opener, I would order this again The location is on the pier of Seaport, I sat at the bar, several brews are canned to choose from, tried the blood orange wheat beer, not sweet enough for my taste but definitely refreshing, the other was a rainbow psychedelic can, it was more of a sour beer since sour beer is not my favorite I will have to pass on this for next time, the venue is fairly small, more seating on the side outside, majority small tables for small groups definitely a must try if you are in the area, again I will have to come back and try more of their options food **** definitely hit that chowder and that fish and chips, the lobster roll I will have to try the buttered and the deep fried options price $$ service ***** very helpful staff ambiance ***** clean, inviting, small seating

Yankee Lobster offers fresh seafood at a reasonable price. The service is quick and friendly! I ordered the stuffed clams and hot buttered lobster roll. The portions were huge! Both were fresh and delicious! I'll be returning soon!

Yankee Lobster is a great and "affordable" seafood restaurant in Seaport! It's affordable for seafood as in $17 for clam strips, $6 or $7 for a clam chowder and I believe it was half a dozen oysters for $33 which is not great (a little less than $3 an oyster) but significantly better prices than most Boston oysters which are $4 or more per oyster so $48+ for a dozen. You order at a counter which can be a bit stressful if you can't figure out what you want, and then you have a number and go to an empty table and wait for your food. They also have a good selection of canned beer and wine and I got a sour and a can of rose. The food came very quickly and it was really good! The clam chowder wasn't the best I have ever had but it was solid and on the thicker side which I like. The clam strips were great and I prefer the strips because they're cheaper and more crunchy and I was able to get it with a side of cole slaw for a dollar or two more. The oysters were fresh, slightly sweet, and overall some solid oysters which came with the cocktail sauce with horseradish and lemon. I would definitely come back here! Considering how insane the seafood prices are in Boston and specifically Seaport, I would come here if you don't mind more of a casual atmosphere. I have wanted to try Barking Crab for fried seafood but the prices are so much higher and I don't know if the water view justifies the prices. Yankee Lobster is a no frills seafood place that I think is worth the hype!

TL;DR: solid lobster rolls and sides Really enjoyed this spot! When you walk in, you get pier/dock vibes with the wooden interior and decor. You place your order and take a number to your table. The staff then brings your order to you. FOOD: ~Hot lobster roll (3.8/5): solid but lobster was overcooked ~Cold lobster roll (3.5/5): has cuts of celery in it. Lobster again was a little overcooked and the mayo dressing was a bit heavy (depends on personal preference) ~Fries (5/5): Who would have thought the fries would be my favorite part. They are battered fries and had great crunch and was seasoned very well. ~Cornbread (3.5/5): rating is based on if you're expecting cornbread. If you are just eating it, it just tastes like a slice of cake. Stand alone the taste is def 4/5 ~Clam Chowder (4.5/5): flavor was really good but was missing that final umph (can't pinpoint what's missing). But I loved the consistency which was nice and thick. Overall, definitely worth a try!

First stop in Boston is a lobster roll, of course. By the end of my trip, Yankee Lobster is still ultimately the winner of all the lobster rolls I tried. There isn't really a parking lot, but a few parking meters on the street. We got lucky and scored the first spot next to the entrance. Once you enter, you order at the counter and then grab a seat for your food to be brought out. They have multiple signs to remind people to not save tables until you have ordered to be fair. It wasn't busy when I came, so this wasn't much of a problem. We ordered the Traditional Lobster Roll (MKT $35.99), which comes cold with fries. Also added a small Clam Chowder ($6.99) and Plain Mac and Cheese ($11.99). The lobster roll is completely overstuffed with lobster that it was falling out of my bun. I even had some leftover to toss in to the mac and cheese. I only wish there was more of the clam chowder, which was warm and comforting on a chilly day. The mac and cheese is very cheesy, which I liked as well. Big plus is that they have a covered outdoor area where I was able to bring my dog, which was a huge reason why I chose this spot over the others too. During the winter, they had heatlamps to keep warm too. If you're going to get a lobster roll, get it at Yankee!

Small eatery in the seaport district that we tried that had good reviews. I had the traditional lobster roll that was STUFFED full and delicious. Never had a traditional one before so for a first time one, it was a good one. Although when we trying to ask questions when ordering, the girl at the desk (you order immediately when you walk in after looking at a huge board) was no help and did not seem interested in answering any unfortunately. My husband ended up with a chicken sandwich. The place is quite small. We were able to find a table in the enclosed outdoor eating section so that was nice.
